Hey everyone, I just finished a new mixtape for SCION!!

It's part of their mixtape series and is entitled: SCION CD SAMPLER VOLUME 21: IHEARTCOMIX RECORDS REMIXED. They are manufacturing 500,000 copies and it will be distributed for FREE all across the USA, making it's debut during SXSW and WMC. The mixtape features 8 brand new and EXCLUSIVE remixes of IHEARTCOMIX artists by RADIOCLIT (Matt & Kim), LIES IN DISGUISE (The Toxic Avenger), TOM NEVILLE (Ocelot), MANO feat. HOLLYWOOD HOLT (Matt & Kim), MIAMI HORROR (Totally Michael), FLOSSTRADAMUS (Heartsrevolution), LA RIOTS (Heartsrevolution) and DESIGNER DRUGS (Protokoll). It also features 2 unreleased tracks by HEARTSREVOLUTION and ACID GIRLS. There's even an additional LA RIOTS remix of THE TOXIC AVENGER's classic 'ESCAPE' that never made the cut due to sampling issues (Our bad), which I've included as a bonus below.

The end product is a 2 disc document of what's to come in IHEARTCOMIX. One disc is the mixtape and the other is the 8 individual remixes in their entirety so you can take them home and play them out. I even made the cover art myself, with layout help from my good friend KATE MOROSS.
I've been working on this thing behind the scenes since AUGUST of last year, coordinating the tracks, arranging the remixes and tackling how to make a mixtape that was made up of almost entirely new songs and that would be palpable to a mass audience as well as being an exciting product for people who were already fans of IHEARTCOMIX and/or our culture. It was a huge challenge and I give it up to my roommates for dealing with having to listen to the same songs over and over for months on end. Also, a huge THANK YOU and shout out to GREG from ACID GIRLS for dealing with the recording end and patiently listening to my crazy ideas and absurd ways of describing things.

So, here it is in all it's glory. For those of you who don't live in the US, don't fear, we'll be releasing those 8 remixes online as well.
