I've been real stoked on THE PHARMACY lately. I've been listening to their record 'Choose Your Own Adventure' (weird!) non-stop.
They hail from SEATTLE and are very much a part of the burgeoning DIY scene that has been getting a lot of exposure the last couple years. They call bands like JAPANTHER, MATT & KIM and THE DEATH SET peers, but what makes them really unique is that they, except for a keen sense of pop, really sound nothing like those others. Instead, they draw more of their influence from 60's and 70's classic rock bands and 90's Northwest aesthetic, yet they are still very much punk rock.
Here's a couple songs, along with the videos, off their latest record, 'Choose Your Own Adventure', out now of DON'T STOP BELIEVIN' RECORDS. If you like, you can order a copy HERE. I highly recommend the vinyl as it is super fancy.

It's been a busy month for us over here at IHEARTCOMIX and we've got a few more pieces of pretty nice press to show off. These are out on the stands now!
First up, the new issue of DAZED & CONFUSED has a full page label profile on IHEARTCOMIX RECORDS that also features interviews with HEARTSREVOLUTION, THE TOXIC AVENGER, TOTALLY MICHAEL and myself. In the same issue, SURKIN has an interview as well and calls the IHEARTCOMIX party he played in LA "the most insane party he's played yet"!

Next up, the latest issue of PAPER MAGAZINE is the music issue. PAPER loves HEARTSREVOLUTION so much, that they not only gave them a full page article, but slapped their name right on the cover too!!

And finally, CMJ.COM has a couple new interviews with HEARTSREVOLUTION and myself about how and why we do our individual things and what kind of grand plans we have for the future. Check them out:

HEARTSREVOLUTION are looking for a new drummer! They need someone who lives in NEW YORK CITY and has the time and dedication to tour! If or someone you know wants to try out, please contact them at: heartsrevolution@gmail.com
On a side note, the NYC based HEARTS crew are also looking for a new place/apartment that can also act as a practice space/recording studio. If anyone knows any secret gems, use that email above.

Our good buddies, CLASSIXX (who also live right here in LA), just released a video for their now classic track 'Cold Act Ill'. It's a pretty fun ride though classic skateboarding and ooohhh is that song still good.
And as a bonus, here's a couple new remixes by CLASSIXX of THE TING TINGS and SHWAYZE!! Enjoy!
THE TING TINGS - SHUT UP AND LET ME GO (CLASSIXX REMIX)
SHWAYZE - BUZZIN (CLASSIXX REMIX)

More LA kids do good!
Local super-group, BAD DUDES, recently released a new full length on RETARD DISCO. Theses 'party-progsters' also did themselves a favor and went and got themselves a remix by their friends and peers, MAE SHI. It's not exactly tailored for the dance floor, but it's an excellent addition to any fan of the current LA punk scene's collection. Get It!
BAD DUDES - EAT DRUGS (MAE SHI REMIX)

One of our favorites whose been with us since the early days of the IHEARTCOMIX blog, MR CORMAC has just release yet another totally kick-ass mixtape with some super exclusive and unreleased gems!! I always get so excited when he sends over new stuff and this one doesn't dissapoint! Check it out!

Hey look! Shaun posted A track that's NOT disco! Hooray!
Seriously, I love this. Piano stabs, sharp ass snares, wobble wobble synths and the obligatory (and well placed) rap sample. Not bad Proxy, Not bad at all.
Moby - "I Love To Move In Here (Proxy Remix)
A friend passed this on to me and I love it. I'm dedicating this track to my long lost pal Miss Toats, who's been overseas for what seems like an eternity. When you return, we will Do it at the D.I.S.C.O.
